Bespoke Suit Process

When designing your bespoke or made to measure wedding suit, we want to make sure you have an amazing experience, helping you through the process every step of the way.

6-9 Months Before

Your First Consultation

At Whitfield & Ward, we know that designing a bespoke suit is often a once in a lifetime experience. Our process starts with you, listening to your thoughts and ideas, how and where your suit will be worn, along with the fit and style you’d like. In the first consultation, you’ll try on some sample suits, so we can begin to explore suit design, fabric colours and the ways in which we can coordinate your look with hire suits. Our overall aim during this time is to help you gain an understanding of our experience and quality.

4-6 Months Before

Design and Measurements

For your design appointment, we will ask you to bring some ideas of styles you like from Pinterest and Instagram. Dressed in a sample suit, we will carefully take you through the options for each garment, so you can visualise your ideas and make decisions on your design. At this point, we will again consider how we can coordinate your look with your hire suits. The final stage in this appointment is to take full body measurements to create a perfect fit.

1 Month Before

Final fittings and collection

We like to have your made-to-measure or bespoke suit ready for your final fitting and collection one month before your wedding. Once we have you dressed in your unique wedding suit, we can help you finalise your look with our exclusive range of ties and pocket squares.
