The process starts with you
At Whitfield & Ward we’ve helped hundreds of grooms create their bespoke and made-to-measure suits. One of the most important things I've learnt, is to listen to your ideas and offer gentle guidance on the fabric types and suit styles that will complement and flatter your shape. My aim is to create a wedding suit to enhance your best features and make you feel confident on the most important day of your life.
Bespoke or Made-to-Measure
A made-to-measure suit gives a tailored fit, taken from a set design. A bespoke suit is created to your personalised design using full body measurements.
Lounge suits, morning suits and dinner suits are all popular choices for weddings. We’ll help you design a suit that reflects your vision, the season and the overall theme of your special day
Fabric & Lining
Once you’ve decided on your wedding suit style, we’ll guide you to find the perfect choice of fabric for the time of year, climate and wedding venue.
We'll take you through all the options; the style and width of lapel, pocket slant, depth of opening and jacket cutaway to create a garment that will flatter your body shape.
Our tailors will design your trousers to create the perfect silhouette using your waist, bottom, thigh, calf and ankle measurements.
Waistcoats are a stylish addition to a bespoke or made-to-measure suit. We’ll help you choose between single or double-breasted, V-shaped or U-shaped to enhance your body shape.
Customisation options include the colour of the lining and piping, the position and colour of buttons and button holes and the colour of your under collar melton. Jacket linings can be personalised with embroidered names and wedding dates.
Once you’ve decided on the style, design and fabric our experienced tailors will take your full body measurements to ensure a perfect fit.
We are approved stockists of the leading Italian and English fabric mills.
