Stefan & Sally At Heaton House Farm

During Easter weekend, Stefan and Sally married at Heaton House Farm in Macclesfield. Read on for details on how Stefan’s look complimented his venue.

Stefan and Sally came to see us back in August 2017 to have his bespoke suit made as a keepsake of his wedding day, just like Sally’s dress. Stefan had done his research on Instagram and Pinterest and had a well thought out brief for us. He liked the idea of a tweed suit but didn’t want something too over-the-top, he also wanted something that would feel more special than the suits he wore for work. Our job was to help Stefan find those important points of difference, to express his personality and make him stand out.

Together, we created a bespoke suit in classic navy, which featured a 2 button notch lapel jacket, matching fitted trousers and a contrast tweed waistcoat. It was the finer details that gave his suit the ‘wow factor’, such as the tonal AMF stitching on the lapel and pockets, coffee coloured button holes and piping. Stefan also had his and Sally’s initials embroidered into the jacket, along with their wedding date for an added personal touch.

To add a subtle country feel to his look, Stefan chose a Hardy Minnis tweed in brown and blue window pane and added a heritage stag lining to his jacket. These design details worked with Stefan’s vision and complemented the surroundings of his rustic wedding venue, Heaton House Farm.

When asked what advice he would offer to other grooms looking for a bespoke suit, Stefan said:

“Come and see Keith & Craig at Whitfield & Ward, they’ll listen to your ideas with an open mind and help you create what you want. I’ve never had a bespoke suit made before and it was such an enjoyable, unique experience. I loved it!”

The groom holds a pocket watch in the palm of his hand, which is attached to his waistcoat on a chain.

Stefan also used our suit hire services for a co-ordinated look, dressing his groomsmen in our navy Highgrove lounge suit. To keep the colour palette consistent, Stefan chose navy ties with coffee coloured stags and contrast, paisley pocket squares for the whole wedding party. He commented:

“One of the main reasons I chose Whitfield & Ward was because of the quality of both your bespoke and hire services. You gave me and my guys great fitting suits, so we all looked amazing on the day and in our photos”.
