On October 18th, Joe married his fiancé Becky at Owen House Barn, a unique rustic wedding venue, set on a working farm in Cheshire. Joe and Becky’s vision was to bring nature inside for their autumnal wedding. Find out how we helped them create the perfect tailored suit for their beautiful country wedding.
Joe and Becky meet us at an Owen House Barn wedding fair and instantly liked that we are a local business and understood their wedding venue. Joe had been to see other tailors but said:
“You were great in my initial consultation and understood straight away what I wanted and what styles would work for our wedding venue and theme. I just knew I would get my bespoke suit from you.”
For their country barn wedding, Joe and Becky picked green, bronze and burgundy colours, and dressed their venue with foliage, trees, candles and lanterns. Joe knew he wanted a tailored suit and had used Pinterest to develop his ideas. He said:
“I had already decided on a green suit to tie in with the theme but you guys were great at helping me to find the perfect fabric and I loved the texture of the tweed I picked”.
Joe brought the bridesmaids colour, burgundy, into his under collar melton, lining, piping and tie. He beautifully personalised his tailored jacket with their initials, wedding date and a surprise poem for his bride.
Joe said;
“Whitfield and Ward were brilliant, you made the process simple and really collaborative and helped me put my grooms character into our wedding”.
When we asked Joe, what advice would he have to other grooms thinking of buying a tailored wedding suit, he said;
